Lance-Michael Correia is a Retail Safety Researcher and Litigation Support Specialist with over five years of experience assisting nationally recognized retail safety expert Jerry Birnbach. His work focuses on premises liability, slip, trip and fall investigations, discovery review, retail safety standards, and evidence analysis. Drawing upon formal education in philosophy, English, and legal studies, Lance approaches every case from multiple perspectives, helping identify strengths, weaknesses, and alternative interpretations before expert opinions are finalized.
In this role, Lance conducts detailed review of discovery, deposition testimony, photographs, maintenance records, surveillance, incident reports, policies, and inspection documents. He researches retail industry standards, safety practices, premises liability issues, and applicable codes.
Lance’s assistance in preparing expert reports, rebuttal reports, and deposition materials is invaluable. He excels in identifying inconsistencies, missing evidence, and alternative explanations requiring further investigation.
He collaborates directly with Jerry Birnbach on complex retail premises liability matters involving national retailers throughout the United States including the analysis of more than 80 premises liability cases involving grocery stores, home improvement retailers, department stores, pharmacies, warehouse clubs, restaurants, and shopping centers.
